Mr. Karthik B. Athreya ( Director )

Mr. Karthik Athreya has over 22 years of expertise in financial services, including principal investing, funds management, investment banking, corporate finance, assurance, and transaction diligence. He was the Head of Alternative Credit Investment Strategy at Sundaram Asset Management Company (SAMC). Prior to joining SAMC, Mr. Karthik worked at HD Ventures LLP, where he was developing an alternative investment and private wealth advising platform. Since 2007, Mr. Karthik has overseen the India operations of Clearwater Capital Partners, a pan-Asian private equity company located in Mumbai, and has served on the firm’s Management and Investment Committees. Altico Capital, Clearwater’s high yield asset-backed lending NBFC platform, was founded and built up with his help. Mr. Karthik was a founding employee of Clearwater before that YES Bank’s Director of Investment Banking. Mr. Karthik formerly served as a Director at Rabo India Finance, a subsidiary of Rabobank Nederlands, in the Investment Banking division. Mr. Karthik formerly worked for Arthur Andersen’s Corporate Finance group and PricewaterhouseCoopers’ assurance and transaction advising department.
